ok place to pitch a tent. It is a bit of a pedal into buy some stuff to pig out on after a long day in the saddle. Best part was watching the sun set while the otters were chilling in the swimming area.
Easy to get to and park camper.
Spending time up in Seely Lake and the campground is a lot of fun! We love seeing the summer Beargrass in bloom, the farmers' market, kayaking on the lake/river and smore's around the evening campfire. Reasonably priced!
It is a serene place and the views are beautiful.
We stayed here two nights in July 2017. Parking our 35 foot 5th wheel was kinda tight, but we managed, paved surface was nice. No electric, there is a water fill station at entrance, no RV dump. Cost was great at $5.00 per night using the Senior Pass. The vault toilet was clean, but smelled nasty - think it's the nature of those. The big issue for us was large dogs not under control; while we walked our 10 pound dog within 5 minutes three different sites, large dogs came running out, one rather aggressively - had to defend our selves with a walking stick. Owners not very sympathetic, one even pursued us down the road, swearing and hand gesturing. Told Camp Host of the situation and they called park Ranger - however we never did see the Ranger driving around afterwards. We will try other National Parks, hopefully the Rangers at these other parks will be more proactive in dog lease laws.
