Love the place and its wonderful place to stay at beautiful sunsets and sunrise and great fish
The campground was nice, facilities were clean and well maintained, however our experience was very much soured by the inexcusable and unnecessary rudeness the camp hostess directed our way. After swimming for about 10 minutes at the swimming beach, she approached me, my husband and our two small children and demanded that we put clothes on our baby because allegedly, other campers were complaining that he wasn't wearing clothes to swim. She was so rude in fact that at first, I thought she was being sarcastic. Then, when we were taken aback and questioned if she was in fact asking us to clothe a baby, she became more rude and self-righteous claiming that the nudity of a baby boy was in some way not acceptable for little girls to see. Sexualizing the nudity of a small child and tainting our good time with the imposition of her opinion was not professional. Further, after we did not argue and complied with her request, she continued to be brusque, intimidating us with demands for our campsite number, as if to imply there would be recourse for baby nudity. A kind word would have made this interaction more pleasant, but she had none to give. I felt angry, embarrassed and very disrespected. And to be clear so that no one is falsely accused of this behavior, this occurred on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 around 5:30pm. Will not return.
Huge campsite #19 by edge of campground overlooking the lake. Heavily wooded. Good bathrooms with pay showers. Our host Beverly was just outstanding - available to help when we arrived late and very friendly. Highly recommend this campground!
I absolutely love Seeley it's beautiful and the scenery is amazing can't wait to go again this summer :)
Be sure that you are well aware of State Park campground rules before coming to this campground. The state park website did not clearly state specifications for 'camping units' and after driving four hours we were told we could not all sleep in our reserved site. We ended up having to leave the campground due to a completely inflexible policy, and calls to the state park office despite the website being incorrect. Horrible experience!
